Welcome to the Toyota “Aim: Zero Emissions” blog
Here at Toyota, the environment is very important to us, it really is part of our Toyota DNA. Looking back, we get the sense of this from the Toyota Principles and Earth Charter which were adopted in 1992. We believe that environmental sustainability is the single biggest challenge facing our industry and our society this century. Our reaction to this belief affects not only our products but every aspect of our business and every person in it. In this blog, I will share with you the latest thoughts and ideas that we have, and the actions we are taking that are guided by our beliefs.

Sharing the green message
Some people hold the opinion that a cleaner environment is incompatible with economic and industrial growth. At Toyota we believe technological innovation can enable us to achieve both. That’s why we’re always pushing the boundaries of green technology as we try to develop the ultimate eco-car.

Through our Aim: Zero Emissions campaign, launched in 2003, we highlight our 360° environmental approach which encompasses the whole lifecycle of a car, from design and manufacture to use and recycling.

Green Design
In a leafy corner of YouTube is a series of short but inspiring documentary films called “Green Design”. The production of the clips was sponsored by Toyota and each one shows a real and inspiring innovation. These cover a broad range of sectors and we hope that they will inspire you the way they inspired us to want to live greener lives.

We sponsor the series as part of our commitment to the technologies that can help preserve the delicate balance between man and nature. It reflects our “Aim: Zero Emissions” philosophy that encompasses the entire lifecycle of our vehicles: design, manufacture, use and recycling.
